2MP Automatic Number Plate Recognition Camera

IP Networking / Internet Protocol Security Camera (IPC),1/2.8?,2MP,CMOS,2.8-12mm 4X motorized zoom, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) with 4 White Light LED, IR Range UP to 164ft (50M).

The WHC121-Z is a license plate recognition camera, or an LPR. With its FullHD resolution and silky smooth 60fps video, this camera is designed from the ground up to take crystal-clear images of license plates. It can even record license plates at night with its 165 foot IR distance. With its intelligent letter and number recognition algorithm, this LPR automatically pulls all license plates into a database for quick and simple filtering, searching, reviewing, and exporting. In addition to license plates, the camera can also recognize and categorize vehicles into 10 body colors. Plus, with blacklist and whitelist functionality, you'll also know if someone's there who shouldn't be. When connected to a barrier, this camera also supports vehicle access control.

LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION

This camera not only takes pictures of license plates. It's also able to recognize the numbers and letters, convert the string to text, and store the license plates in a database for quick and easy searching and browsing.

2MP HD RESOLUTION

The HC121@TS8CR-Z captures video up to a resolution of 2MP @ 60 FPS, which is 1920x1080 pixels. Every pixel added to your camera's picture gives you a higher image quality and more detail. So at 2MP, you're going to get a crisper, cleaner, and more detailed image.

4.7-47MM MOTORIZED VARIFOCAL LENS

The HC121@TS8CR-Z has a Motorized Varifocal Lens, ranging from . This means you can easily and quickly adjust the zoom to your liking directly from the camera’s interface.

The Motorized Varifocal Lens gives you more control over your image. Optically zoom in to view finer details and a tighter shot. Or keep the camera zoomed out to enjoy the bigger picture with a wider angle field of view.

2-WAY AUDIO

The HC121@TS8CR-Z has a built-in microphone and speaker enabling you to easily communicate with family members, pets, coworkers, or even intruders. The crisp, clear 2-way audio makes this camera perfect for access points to your home or business, baby or pet monitors, and so much more!

NDAA COMPLIANT

This model is compliant with the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act), meaning it's safe to use and install on U.S. government properties. It was constructed with trusted and reliable technology at its core.

IP67 WEATHERPROOF RATING

This camera has an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 67. This means the camera is completely protected from dust and other solid particles. It can also withstand being submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Rest assured that when you install this camera outside, it will have no problem braving the toughest of storms.

IK10 VANDALPROOF RATING

The HC121@TS8CR-Z has an Impact Protection (IK) rating of 10, which is as high as the scale goes. If a vandal wants to try to bust open this camera, more power to them. Literally, they're going to need a lot more power, because this thing is indcredibly durable. That's why these dome-style cameras are often called vandal-proof domes, or vandal domes for short.

UP TO 165FT NIGHT VISION IR RANGE

When the sun goes down or the lights go out, this camera switches on its own onboard infrared LED lights. These lights, which are invisible to the human eye, allow the camera to continue functioning and recording video 24/7, day or night. And since its IR range covers up to 165ft, you're not going to miss anything that happens on your camera's feeds, even if it happens in pitch-black darkness.

This means, as long as your current recorder is ONVIF compatible, you’ll be able to set this camera up with your current system.

Capture License Plates with Cutting-Edge Surveillance

Enhancing your video surveillance system with the ability to capture license plates introduces an advanced level of security. While standard security cameras can offer detailed footage, locating a specific license plate in hours of video can be tedious. Enter the License Plate Recognition Camera (LPR) – a game changer in license plate surveillance.

Take, for example, Webpliance's LPR model HC121@TS8CR-Z. Not just a camera, it's an innovative blend of a camera, transcriber, and database compiler. Using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, it automates license plate capture. Once it grabs an image, it reads the plate number, converts it to text, and stores it. Within moments, you can locate a particular license plate, filter by vehicle color, and more.

Camera Highlights

This LPR is packed with features:

- 2MP at 60fps for optimal clarity.

- IR range of 165' ensuring night-time visibility.

- IP67 weatherproofing for durability.

- Motorized zoom lens from 4.7mm to 47mm, offering a 10x zoom.

Does Resolution Matter?

At first glance, 2MP might seem low. Wouldn’t higher resolutions offer clearer images? Interestingly, for an LPR, 2MP hits the sweet spot. The 10x zoom and ANPR tech mean that the highest resolution isn’t necessarily the best. The camera’s objective is precise: license plate recognition. And if it can achieve this at 2MP, why go higher?

Importance of Frame Rate

For effective license plate capture, motion blur is the enemy. Cars speeding past your camera require a high frame rate for clarity. At 24fps, the image might be too blurred. However, at 60fps, the chances of a clear capture increase.

Night Vision Capabilities

With its impressive 165' IR range, the HC121@TS8CR-Z excels in night-time conditions, ensuring clear plate capture even in low light.

Installation and Optimization

The success of the LPR starts at the installation. The camera should target a "choke point" – a predictable path for vehicles. By focusing on such specific areas, like driveways or entrances, the accuracy of captures increases.

Further refining the camera's performance are settings like:

- **Setup Wizard**: Defines where the camera should focus.

- **Vehicle Detection Sensitivity**: Adjusts sensitivity.

- **Interfering Character Filter**: Helps the camera ignore unnecessary characters.

Building Your License Plate Database

With the photo server setup on a compatible Webpliance NVR, your captured plates are stored on the NVR's hard drive. It's a straightforward process, ensuring your license plate data is safely stored.

Search and Retrieval

Paired with the WNVR304-16X, searching and retrieving specific license plates is a breeze. Through the VCA search and "smart" view on the live screen, accessing license plate data has never been easier.
